CNC Turning is a machine that uses digital codes to control and automatically process according to a given working program, movement speed and trajectory. It is a kind of high-precision, high-efficiency automatic machine with digital information to control the displacement of parts and tools.

This process is the rotation of the workpiece to form the main cutting movement. Different turning movements can be achieved by the tool relative to the workpiece during turning. The workpiece shape can be obtained after machining.

 How does a CNC turning processing look like?

(1)Turning the outer circle.

This is the most common and basic turning method that uses a variety of turning tools to turn the outer circle of small and medium-sized parts (including turning grooves). Among them the left side cutter is mainly used for the outer circle with a right-angled shoulder on the right side of the turning although the outer circle that cannot be turned.

(2)Turning the inner circle.

Turning the inner circle (hole) refers to using a turning method to enlarge the hole of a workpiece or machining the inner surface of a hollow workpiece. This is also one of the commonly used turning methods.

(3) Plane turning.

 The turning plane mainly refers to the turning end plane (including the stepped end surface) which is suitable for the machining center with a hole or the general stepped end surface using a right-biased turning plane. The cutter head has high strength and is suitable for turning larger planes, especially casting large plane of forgings.

(4) Taper turning. Cone surface can be divided into inner and outer surface. We can use it as a special form of the inner and outer circle.

(5) Threads turning. On ordinary lathes, forming turning tools are generally used to process ordinary threads, trapezoidal threads, and modular threads.

Our commonly used materials in Weimi for lathe processing are aluminum alloy materials. The density of aluminum alloy materials is greatly reduced compared to the density of iron and steel materials. Therefore, the plasticity is high, the product weight is reduced, and the lathe processing is much shorter. Many customers in the field of aviation accessories is required to use aluminium materials for processing parts.

We can also use drills, reamers and reamers taps, dies and knurling tools on lathes for proper processing. Please see attached customized stainless steel shaft for one of our Korean customer.

Our company has  22 lathe machines. Each one can process products up to 150*220 mm. We always choose this type of machines for brass parts, stainless steel parts, POM and other small-size parts. It helps to shorter the processing cycle and increase the precision of the products. Thanks to that we can quickly realize customer’s sample order. We can complete samples as soon as half an hour. Our metal parts can be very bright without surface treatment after processing.
